The CWIM Inspiring Woman Physician Awards began in 2019 after the organization received an anonymous donation to start an Awards program to honour the work of women physicians across Canada. Inspired by the outstanding patient care, vision, and passion of Dr. Setareh Ziai, co-founder and Past President of CWIM, our generous donor hoped to acknowledge the work of other dedicated, skilled, trailblazing women physicians in Canada. In 2022 the awards were re-named the Dr. Setareh Ziai Inspiring Woman Physician Awards.

Do you know someone who should be recognized for her inspiring efforts to support her community, workplace, colleagues, family, or friends? Nominations will open in early 2024 and the Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 25.

Award winners will receive a cash prize, an annual partnership to the CWIM Organization, and free registration to CWIM Conference 2025.
